Who leads the music in Charis Worship?

Meredith Beeby Edmison is our music leader as we worship together. She pulls together the instrumentalists and leads the gathered worshippers in singing. Meredith is often joined by her husband Mike who usually plays guitar but may also pick up another instrument.

Meredith grew up in Fairview, OK, where her parents, Larry and Beth, still teach.  She went to Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor's of Music Education in 1996, which she used in Music Ministry in various churches in Oklahoma.  She and Mike were married in 1997, and he is currently the Contemporary Worship Director at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

After several years of directing church music and giving private voice and piano lessons, Meredith continued her education, receiving her law degree from Oklahoma City University in 2005.  She is the Executive Director of the Wegener Foundation, Inc., a family foundation that gives grants to other non-profit organizations in the local metro area.

 Meredith and Mike adopted the light of their lives, Jack Taylor Seung Edmison (now 3 1/2) from South Korea in 2004.  They are "paper pregnant" again, hoping to adopt another child domestically sometime this year.  Oscar the Wonder Dog is a family member of the four-legged kind, and loves his best buddy, Jack, and OSU!
